Daniel works closely with high-net-worth families, particularly from Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina, who have relocated to or invested in the U.S., helping them manage family-owned assets, inheritance planning and tax strategies. Daniel also supports Latin American businesses expanding into the U.S. market, and understands the Miami business environment, the region’s unofficial capital of Latin American commerce. As a lawyer in Venezuela, Daniel gained extensive experience in civil, commercial and labor litigation, as well as commercial arbitration and contract negotiation. He also served in the Venezuelan judiciary and held senior positions in the justice system, including as a reporting attorney at the Supreme Court of Justice. He founded and led his own law firm, Zaibert & Asociados, and has extensive teaching experience as a law professor in Venezuela. His international credentials include an LL.M. in comparative law from the University of San Diego School of Law. Daniel also has experience clerking at a U.S. law firm that focused on franchises, an area in which he continues to advise clients with cross-border needs.
