Introducing Tax Attorney Kamile Schroyer to Hone Maxwell

We are pleased to announce the addition of Associate Tax Attorney Kamile Schroyer to Hone Maxwell LLP. Kamile’s unique, cross-cultural practice experience in international corporate, asset planning and tax law will enhance the firm’s diverse offerings and strengthen our commitment to excellent service.

Hailing from Brazil, Kamile is licensed to practice law in her home country as well as California. Her fluency in English and Portuguese, coupled with her conversational Spanish skills, provides a robust foundation for her practice, allowing her to seamlessly bridge cultural and linguistic gaps.

Kamile has been instrumental in assisting foreign entities with real property transactions in the United States, ensuring they remain compliant with U.S. tax reporting laws. She has also helped clients in Mexico facilitate significant U.S. investments. For businesses, Kamile provides skilled counsel on company formation, governance, tax planning and tax compliance. She has played pivotal roles for businesses in the preparation, review and analysis of various transactional documents.

Kamile served as a law clerk for the Brazil Court of Appeals and later as a legal intern for PROCON, the Brazilian Consumer Protection Agency, while attending law school Pontificia Universida de Católica Do Rio Grande Do Sul, Porto Alegre. Her role during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, assisting foreign consumers with consumer law violations, showcased her ability to leverage her language skills in high-pressure situations.

After moving to San Diego in 2015, Kamile volunteered for the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and pursued her paralegal certificate at the University of California, San Diego prior to earning her license to practice in law in California.

We are confident that Kamile will bring immense value to our clients and further solidify HMLLP’s reputation as a leading international tax and business law firm.
