When Hone Maxwell LLP launched 10 years ago, Aubrey Hone and I wanted to create an international tax and business law practice that prioritizes relationships.
Forging strong partnerships with accounting firms in Mexico, frequent trips by firm principles to both Mexico and Asia and building a bilingual team that is knowledgeable in both the legal and cultural nuances of these regions quickly became HMLLP’s focus.
While HMLLP is known for providing tax guidance for businesses operating on both sides of the border, dual citizens and foreigners investing in the U.S., we are already immersed in Tijuana’s business community and culture. With the opening of a new office in Tijuana, HMLLP will build on its strong relationships with accounting firms, law firms and clients from a central, convenient location at Centro Corporativo Dayco, Blvd. General Gustavo Salinas #11050, Suite 602, Col. It is important to me to maintain robust ties to the Mexican community. With many clients, attorneys and staff — and my wife — all from Mexico, I am professionally and personally proud to establish our Tijuana office and to be able to work more effectively with our clients and partners south of the border. As U.S. legal practitioners, it is important to note that we will not be practicing Mexican law — which is rightly handled by Mexico’s esteemed professionals. Rather, we will continue to partner with our Mexican colleagues from this easily accessible location to serve the U.S. tax and legal needs of our clients.
In addition, and as another example of the importance of making changes that reflect the times, I am proud to introduce HMLLP’s new look. Our top-to-bottom rebrand includes a modern, prominent logo and a new website. These changes reflect the firm’s commitment to delivering bold, relevant and effective solutions that clients can count on. The website provides visitors descriptive and vibrant content about the firm, its people and services, as well as relevant legal updates on tax and business news.
We may have changed our look, but we are the same team that will continue to provide the exceptional service our clients have come to expect. For nearly a decade, Hone Maxwell has helped businesses and individuals with their international, federal, state and local tax issues. We are excited about the growth and success we’ve experienced, which is reflected in all these developments.
