Former University of San Diego School of Law classmates, and Big Four accounting firm alumni, Josh Maxwell and Aubrey Hone reunited after graduation to create a tax law firm that looks past the numbers to the people they impact. Josh and Aubrey formed Hone Maxwell LLP in 2012 on the principle that relationships and experience matter. Josh, the firm’s managing partner, is the go-to authority in Asia, Mexico and elsewhere on international tax issues. The firm’s roots run especially deep in Mexico. While HMLLP’s San Diego headquarters offers proximity to accounting firms, law firms and clients in Baja California, the firm took its commitment to its colleagues and clients in Mexico one step further and opened an office in Tijuana in 2022.
