Tara Shah is international counsel at Hone Maxwell LLP.  In this role, Ms. Shah assists clients in managing their global legal needs.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Shah lived in Hong Kong working with a large online legal media firm assisting the APAC legal community.  Through this work, Ms. Shah gained many valuable connections and experience relating to the legal needs of international business ventures.  She is now able to bring these connections and experience to help her clients ensure they have proper legal resources and representation for all relevant matters.

Ms. Shah started her career practicing in the areas of civil litigation, insolvency, and insurance defense.  She is licensed in both California and Colorado.  Following her years as an associate attorney, she served as the Director of Legal Education for BARBRI Bar Review in San Diego, one of the largest bar preparation companies in the U.S. Having done bar exam preparation lectures on campuses throughout California, she became a leading bar exam expert in the fields of performance test and essay exam writing, and also now has an extensive network of U.S. attorneys from this experience.

In addition to having an expansive career to date, she served seven years on the Alumni Board of Directors for California Western School of Law including her terms as President and Vice President, and currently is the President of the University of Georgia Alumni Association – San Diego Chapter.
